As expected, Lea was brilliant! My only gripe is that Fantine is too small a role for her. I missed her after her death scene, although she was disguised as one of the men afterwards. Her voice was pure and clear, and her tone was perfect. I would have wanted her to really belt out ". . . as they turn your dream to shaaaaaaaaame" the way she did on the video, but I understand that you cannot risk straining your vocal chords if you have to perform 8 times a week. Her acting was just right - not over the top, not too restrained. The audience gave her a joyous ovation and there was a big, shivering crowd who waited for her by the stage door that burst into applause and screamed when she came out.

Alexander Gemignani and Norm Lewis were fantastic. They obviously mastered their parts after months of doing it. Their voices and acting were flawless. Celia struggled tonight, I think. There were parts were you could barely hear her voice. I do like her, though. I guess she just had an off night. Aaron Lazar was not there again. The one who played his part did not approach Aaron's vocal prowess by a long shot. Adam Jacobs gave a splendid performance.
