Chondra Profit makes her Metropolitan Room debut, July 13, 2014 with A JAZZED UP WOMAN. Currently appearing as Sarabi in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway, Chondra Profit presents an evening of Jazz music including standards and not-so-standard, "jazzed up" versions of top 40 hits ranging from My Funny Valentine to Beyonce's Love on Top.

Directed by Derrick Davis with music direction and vocal arrangements by Brian Whitted. No stranger to the genre of Jazz, Chondra released her first solo album in December 2013 entitled A Jazzed Up Christmas, featuring her unique interpretation of Christmas classics.

Chondra is a graduate of The San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA) and holds a BFA from The American Music of Dramatic Academy of the Arts (AMDA). Her most recent theatrical work includes Disney's The Lion King, Broadway (Sarabi/Nala understudy), national tours of Jingle Bell Rock (Lead Vocalist), I Choose (Mrs. G), regional productions of A Chorus Line (Sheila), Aida (Nehebka), Ragtime (Sarah's Friend), Once on This Island (Timoune), and international touring with Ebony Fashion Fair (Commentator).

Chondra devotes much of her time to social activism. In 2013, Chondra took a break from performing to donate her bone marrow in an attempt to save the life of a child diagnosed with leukemia. She regularly raises her voice in support of the LGBT community through numerous appearances at fundraisers and events in the greater NYC area including Broadway Sings for Pride, Broadway Serves, Broadway Battles Bullying, Broadway Supports ASPCA and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Chondra is scheduled to perform at The Million Kids March in Washington DC in October 2014, she will be reprising her A Jazzed up Christmas concert at Martini above 4th in San Diego, California, December 15, 2014 and is currently working on original music for her second album.
