DC Premiere of HIGH FIDELITY Extends Through March 27

By:

The Landless Theatre Company presents the DC Premiere of High Fidelity - A Musical (based on the Nick Hornby novel). The music is by Tom Kitt (Tony Award winning composer of NEXT TO NORMAL), with lyrics by Amanda Green and book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

The production stars Helen Hayes Award Winning actor Stephen Gregory Smith (Signature's 110 In The Shade, Kiss of the Spider Woman) as "Rob."

In High Fidelity, A Brooklyn record shop owner in his thirties, Rob Gordon, is obsessed with making top five lists for everything, always observing rather than participating in life. When his girlfriend Laura leaves him, he goes through a painful re-evaluation of his life and lost loves (with a little help from his music) and he slowly learns that he has to grow up and let go of his self-centered view of the world before he can find real happiness.

The production is directed and choreographed by Julie Herber (Associate Artistic Director of Maryland Ensemble Theatre) with music direction by CharLes Johnson (Landless' Gutenberg! The Musical! and Walmartopia).
