Brian Stokes Mitchell and Sakina Jaffrey Join MR. ROBOT on USA

GLEE and Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchell and HOUSE OF CARDS alum Sakina Jaffrey have joined USA's new hacker drama, 'Mr. Robot' in recurring roles.

Mitchell play Scott Knowles, the husband of Sharon Knowles (Michele Hicks). Scott appreciates the luxuries of the upper class and works to keep his place among New York's elite. A candidate for Evil Corp's CTO position, Scott is a fierce rival of Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallstrom).

Jaffrey will play Antara Nayar, a former criminal prosecutor who founded an eponymous firm with two colleagues. The trio led both criminal and civil suits against Evil Corp for the alleged dumping of hazardous waste in Washington Township, N.J. Now in public defense, Antara is faced with the question of whether to reopen the Evil Corp case and try to right a past wrong at the possible of further ruining her career.

MR. ROBOT follows Elliot (Rami Malek, "24"), a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater, "Adderall Diaries") of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. The series also stars Portia Doubleday ("Her"), Carly Chaikin ("Suburgatory") and Martin Wallström ("Simple Simon").

From Universal Cable Productions, this contemporary and culturally resonant drama is executive produced by Esmail and Anonymous Content's Steve Golin ("True Detective") and Chad Hamilton ("Breakup at a Wedding").
