The cast of new musical DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, which opened on April 21st and closed on May 10th, 2015 at the Broadway Theatre, hit the recording studio this spring to prepare for the release of the show's original cast recording, which is now available via Broadway Records HERE. Below, check out an exclusive video of Tam Mutu and Lora Lee Gayer performing "Watch The Moon" in honor of the Blood Moon/Lunar Eclipse last night.

Broadway Records will be holding an album release event and CD signing with Broadway's DOCTOR ZHIVAGO cast and creatives on Wednesday, September 30th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Sardi's (234 West 44th Street). Sixty lucky people from the general public will be able to attend the event! The first sixty people to RSVP to ZhivagoRSVP@BroadwayRecords.com with the words RSVP and their name will be admitted at the door with proper ID. ID must be a state issued document (E.G. Drivers License) showing their name. There will be no exceptions. Zhivago cast album CDs will be available for sale at the event for the autograph signing.

The album is produced by the seven-time Grammy nominated music producer Robert Sher (On The Town, How To Succeed... revival, Annie revival, Nice Work If You Can Get It). Orchestrations are by Danny Troob. Musical supervision is by Ron Melrose, who is also associate producer of the Broadway cast recording. Music arrangements are by Eric Stern. DOCTOR ZHIVAGO's cast album is a VIVA!DIVA! production and is executive produced by J. Todd Harris.

DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, based on Boris Pasternak's Nobel Prize-winning 20th-century epic Russian masterpiece, was directed by two-time Tony Award winner DesMcAnuff, with a book by Academy Award nominee Michael Weller, music by two-time Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Lucy Simon, lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie and Emmy Award nominee Amy Powers, and choreography by Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine.
