The Cultch Presents THE PIANIST: A CONCERT CATASTROPHE

By:

The Cultch is proud to present The Pianist: A Concert Catastrophe from Tuesday, October 25 to Sunday, November 6, 2016.

At the peak of high society entertainment sits 'The Pianist'. Ever-so impeccable in every aspect, he glides graciously through life without a foot out of step. He is, in a word: perfection. Or at least...that's what he thinks.

A mix of classical clowning and contemporary circus, this spectacularly catastrophic solo comedy is centered on, in, under, and around the magnificent grand piano. It's the story of a pianist who almost never gets to perform - in the traditional sense. Nothing goes according to plan and everything that can go wrong does, which results in skillfully executed hilarity. As the story unfolds and the acrobatics of the enigmatic pianist become more elaborate, Monckton geniously manages to transform a simple instrument into a character of its own.
