The American Theatre Wing has announced its newest episode of the popular 'Working in the Theater' series: 'Crafting Worlds: Theatrical Design.' The episode features scenic designer David Gallo, sound designer John Gromada, costume designer Susan Hilferty and lighting designer Peter Kaczorowski. The program, moderated by Variety theater reporter Gordon Cox, will air on CUNY TV beginning Sunday, April 12, at 5:00 pm.

The Menier Chocolate Factory's sell out production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music is to transfer to the West End for a strictly limited run. Trevor Nunn's critically acclaimed production will transfer to the Garrick Theatre from 28 March, with press night on Tuesday 7 April and is booking until 25 July 2009. A Little Night Music is produced in the West End by David Babani for Chocolate Factory Productions, Andrew Fell and Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer for Nimax Theatres.
Tony Award-winners Philip Bosco, Jim Norton and Ruben Santiago-Hudson, as well as Cheyenne Jackson, Kate Baldwin, and Jeremy Bobb star in Finian's Rainbow, the final production of New York City Center's 2008-09 Encores! season, running from March 26 - 29. Finian's Rainbow has music by Burton Lane, lyrics by E.Y. Harburg and book by E. Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy and will be directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with music direction by Rob Berman. The musical will play five performances at City Center (West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues).

The Gallery Players, bringing Broadway to Brooklyn for over 40 years, announces a new Executive Director: Cornell and Broadway League alum Neal J. Freeman. Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the 26-member Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Newcomers to the cast include Gavin Creel, Caissie Levy and Sasha Allen, who join the rest of the tribe, who are reprising their roles from Central Park last summer. HAIR begins preview performances on Friday, March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC) with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

It was announced today that MEMPHIS, a new musical about the birth of rock 'n' roll in the turbulent 50s which recently played a critically acclaimed and sold-out engagement at Seattle?s 5th Avenue Theatre, is aiming to open on Broadway in the fall of 2009. Based on a concept by George W. George (producer of the Tony nominated Bedroom Farce & film: My Dinner With Andre), MEMPHIS features a book & lyrics by Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), and music & lyrics by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan, in his Broadway debut. The new musical is directed by Tony nominee Christopher Ashley (Xanadu) and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys).
