In this fresh take on the Greek tragedy, Helen of Troy never actually makes it to Troy, but lands in an Egyptian hotel room waiting for her love, Menelaus, to find her. Alone in her room, she receives visits from Io and Athena who inform Helen of the tragedy that her image has had on the world.

Zach Appelman to Star in Folger Theatre's HENRY V, 1/22-3/3

The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from January 22 - March 3, 2013.

Following a successful tryout production in Los Angeles, Hershey Felder's AN AMERICAN STORY for ACTOR AND ORCHESTRA, which tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's last day, will have its world premiere at San Diego's beautiful Birch North Park Theatre beginning Friday, January 4, 2013. For this new production, Felder will create the role of Dr. Charles Augustus Leale, the 23-year-old unknown Union Army medic who was the first individual to reach the presidential box at Ford's Theatre on the night President Lincoln was shot. Mrs. Lincoln then put Dr. Leale in charge to see the President through his last hours. Check out the first photo we have below!
