Bob Baker Marionette Theater Presents SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT, 7/17-9/26

In honor of the Bob Baker Marionette Theater's 50th anniversary, the theater continues its special 50th anniversary season with 'SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT!' opening July 17 and playing through September 26, 2010. 'SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT!' replaces the previously announced 'Bob Baker's Circus,' which could not resolve all of its production challenges in time for the opening, and is now slated for the 2011 season. The theater will also extend its Special Group Rate and Birthday Party Special for the run of 'SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT!' through September.

In honor of the Bob Baker Marionette Theater's 50th anniversary, the theater continues its special 50th anniversary season with 'It's A Musical World,' opening April 19 and closing July 11. 2010. This special season features five of the theater's most beloved productions: 'Fiesta,' (which opened January 19 and plays through April 11),'It's A Musical World,' 'Bob Baker's Circus,' 'Bob Baker's Halloween Hoop-De-Do,' and just in time for the holidays, 'Bob Baker's Nutcracker'. This is the first time the Bob Baker Marionette Theater has ever presented this many productions at the theater in one calendar year.

Peter Glebo Gallery is pleased to present Longnecks, an exhibition of large-scale, acrylic-on-canvas portraits of giraffes by Broadway legend Tommy Tune. Opening on Thursday, June 3 and running through Sunday, August 29, the exhibition will serve as the new Chelsea gallery's inaugural exhibition. This exhibition is made possible, in part, by the generous support of Playbill.

New York City Center will celebrate Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner Stephen Sondheim on the occasion of his 80th birthday on Monday, April 26 with a gala celebration featuring stars who have shone in Sondheim musicals including Michael Cerveris, Barbara Cook, Raúl Esparza, Victor Garber, Joanna Gleason, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Donna Murphy and Bernadette Peters. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Doyle, the evening will highlight shows for which Mr. Sondheim has written both music and lyrics, and will feature a full orchestra conducted by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman. The Benefit will help fund New York City Center's artistic and education programs. In addition, a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to Young Playwrights Inc, a charity of great importance to Mr. Sondheim.

Tom Aldredge, Len Cariou, Nathan Lane, Alexander Hanson and Michele Pawk have joined other stars who have shone in Stephen Sondheim musicals, including Michael Cerveris, Barbara Cook, Raúl Esparza, Sutton Foster, Victor Garber, Joanna Gleason, Patti LuPone, Donna Murphy and Bernadette Peters in a gala celebration of Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Stephen Sondheim on the occasion of his 80th birthday on Monday, April 26. The gala, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, will highlight numbers from shows for which Mr. Sondheim has written both music and lyrics, and will feature a full orchestra conducted by Encores!
