The Marsh announces the final extension of Don Reed's autobiographical journey CAN YOU DIG IT? The '60s - Back Down East 14th, playing February 14 through March 1, 2014 at The Marsh Berkeley following wildly successful extended runs at The Marsh San Francisco and The Marsh Berkeley. Reed, an Oakland-born comedian, has been the longtime opening act/warm-up comedian for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and will step down when Leno passes the hosting duties to Jimmy Fallon and the show moves to New York. The third installment in Reed's hilarious coming-of-age trilogy, CAN YOU DIG IT?, a view of the 1960s through the eyes of an awkward kid, will begin a new schedule on February 14, playing Fridays at 8pm and Saturdays at 8:30pm in The Marsh Berkeley Theater Stage, 2120 Allston Way, Berkeley. Pacific Northwest Ballet Artistic Director Peter Boal has announced that after a 17-year career with the Company, principal dancer Kaori Nakamura will retire from performing at the end of PNB's 2013-2014 season. Ms. Nakamura joined PNB as a soloist in 1997 and was promoted to principal in 1998. Following her retirement, Ms. Nakamura will be joining the faculty of PNB School.

The 2013 BroadwayWorld San Francisco audience choice awards saw a fantastic number of nominations for theatres throughout Northern California this year, from Fresno's Good Company Players to Modesto's Gallo Center to Broadway Sacramento, San Jose and San Francisco. If only enough time existed for us writers to see every talented cast perform. Here are a few of my favorite productions from 2013 in a brief look back at some of the shows I was fortunate enough to witness.

The in-demand star has also been invited to participate in Chaka Khan's induction into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame ceremony to take place June 10 at the Apollo Theatre and broadcast later on BET.
