James Meehan Brings 'Gaz' to Scotland

In 2017, James Meehan was an angry insufferable mess and didn't leave the flat for 6 months.

In 2018, it's the same, but now he just calls it working from home.

It's not being an easy ride for James the past couple of years. Court cases, personal loss and breakups led to a good portion of 2017 shying away from the outside world whilst he got his house (well flat) in order. In Gaz, James reflects upon this difficult period, how the mind can play tricks on you, creating an existential crisis, but also the recovery process and finally finding one's feet again. A multi-faceted show involving stand-up, sketch, video and music as James tries to answer the ultimate question, who are we anyway? A comedy show for hermits, that's worth leaving the house for.

James Meehan is a multi award winning comedian and ex-member of the Gein's Family Giftshop. A key member and writer for Phil Ellis's Funz and Gamez that won the Foster's Edinburgh comedy panel prize in 2014. He has also made several TV appearances such as Inside No9, Comedy Central's Drunk Histories and the Funz and Gamez pilot for the BBC as well as appearing on BBC Radio 4's Newsjack. Most recently, he has been starring alongside Edinburgh Newcomer nominee Chris Washington for BBC Three Quickies in a series of sketches.
