Opening its 28th Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Treasure Island, adapted and directed by Mary Zimmerman from the book by Robert Louis Stevenson in a co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Treasure Island runs October 7, 2015 - January 31, 2016 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Starz announced today the casting of Ray Stevenson (“Rome,” Divergent), as the iconic pirate 'Blackbeard,' also known as 'Edward Teach,' on the Emmy®-winning Original series “Black Sails.”

Starz announced that its Emmy(R)-winning Original series 'Black Sails' has been greenlit for a third season. The series is created by Jonathan Steinberg ('Jericho,' 'Human Target') and Robert Levine ('Touch') and executive produced by Michael Bay (Transformers, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor) and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, producers on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Purge. The ten-episode second season of the authentic high sails drama series, premiering January 24th, 2015 at 9 pm ET/PT on STARZ, follows the most feared pirate of the day, Captain Flint (Toby Stephens), and his men and takes place twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'Treasure Island.'

Starz just released a trailer for the second season of the Emmy®-winning Original series BLACK SAILS. Executive produced by Michael Bay (Transformers, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor) and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, producers on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Purge, and created by executive producers Jonathan Steinberg ('Jericho,' 'Human Target') and Robert Levine ('Touch'), BLACK SAILS will debut Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. It was announced on Friady that the new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE -starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox - will play the final performance of its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway Friday, April 5, 2013 and opened on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The production was originally scheduled to run through June.
