The highly anticipated season 4 of SHOWTIME's Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R)-winning hit drama series HOMELAND will premiere the first two episodes airing back to back on October 5 beginning at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Additionally, SHOWTIME has moved up the premiere of the highly anticipated new drama series THE AFFAIR, which will now debut on Sunday, October 12th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Best-selling author Billie Letts has died in Oklahoma at the age of 76. She died on Saturday in Tulsa of acute myeloid leukemia. Arlene Johnson, her publicist, confirmed her death.
Steppenwolf Theatre Company launches its 2014/15 Subscription Season with the Chicago premiere production of The Night Alive by celebrated playwright Conor McPherson. Henry Wishcamper directs a cast featuring ensemble members Francis Guinan and Tim Hopper with Helen Sadler, Dan Waller and M. Emmet Walsh. The world premiere of The Night Alive was produced at London's Donmar Warehouse in 2013. The Night Alive begins previews September 18, 2014 (opening night is September 28; press performances are September 27 at 3pm and September 30 at 7:30pm) and runs through November 16, 2014 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).
AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, honored with the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and five Tony Awards (including Best Play), will be staged from August 15 to 31, in a co-production by Utah Repertory Theater Company and Silver Summit Theatre. Director Mark Fossen shared with BroadwayWorld his passion for the play, this production, and the Utah theatre scene.
