Bristol Old Vic welcome to the whole community grows with 'Seeds of Change' week celebrating black voices and empowerment. 

A&E Network has ordered 150 more episodes of the hit original series, 'Live PD,' which documents policing in America in real time, from Big Fish Entertainment, an MGM Company. Totaling 450 hours, the deal extends the series' run into 2019, with the new order bringing the number of commissioned episodes to 293 to date. 'Live PD' returns for a third season tonight at 9pm ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for A&E. 'Live PD' airs Friday and Saturday nights at 9pm ET/PT.

Continuing their thrilling Year Of Change, Bristol Old Vic brings an epic tale of survival to the stage for the first time as Tom Morris directs a breathtakingly inventive adaptation of Touching the Void.

Producers today announced that following the previously advertised dates, Tom Morris' production of Touching The Void will tour to Perth and Inverness in Scotland, followed by an international engagement in Hong Kong

The National Theatre announces today that The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stephens from the novel by Mark Haddon, and directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, Angels in America, Company) will return to the West End in November 2018 for a limited season. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time begins previews at the Piccadilly Theatre on 29 November, with an opening night on 11 December.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) today announces the appointment of Simon Godwin as its next Artistic Director. Godwin, currently the Associate Director at the National Theatre of Great Britain (NT), previously served as Associate Director of London's Royal Court Theatre and Associate Director at the Bristol Old Vic in the United Kingdom. He will succeed Michael Kahn, who has been at the helm of STC since 1986.

Further details of the Bristol Old Vic's productions taking the theatre up to Jan 2019 were revealed today.

It was announced yesterday in the 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours list that Marianne Elliott, artistic director of Elliott & Harper Productions, is to be recognised for her services to theatre with an OBE. 

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Long Day's Journey Into Night  comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a limited three-week engagement from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, July 1. Richard Eyre's acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production stars Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons(Brideshead Revisited, Reversal of Fortune,  'The Borgias') and Olivier Award winner and Oscar nominee Lesley Manville(Another Year,  'Harlots,' Phantom Thread). Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game, The Riot Club), Rory Keenan (BBC's 'War & Peace,' 'Peaky Blinders') and Jessica Regan (reprising the role as Cathleen from the 2016 Bristol Old Vic production) round out the ensemble cast.

Artistic Director of Northampton's Royal & Derngate, James Dacre today announced that Royal & Derngate's commission of Kazuo Ishiguro's The Remains of the Day, adapted by Barney Norris, will receive its world premiere in Northampton in February 2019 before a national Out of Joint tour.
