16th Street Announces MENORCA 9/9-10/16

16th Street Theater, a part of the North Berwyn Park District, is proud to announce the world premiere of Robert Koon's MENORCA directed by Ann Filmer performing September 9 - October 16, 2010 at the Berwyn Cultural Center, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn, with a press opening of Thursday, September 16 at 7:30 PM.

FRIENDS Plays Off Broadway At Theatre 3, Opens 10/12

Donis Productions presents 'Friends' by Peter L. Levy, Off Broadway at Theater 3, 311 West 43rd Street 3rd Floor (home of the Mint Theatre company - off 8th Avenue). The play is directed by Jerry Donis and stars Harlan Tuckman and Judy Spiegel.

The Route 66 Theatre Company Presents MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT 10/7-11/14

The Route 66 Theatre Company kicks off its 2010-2011 season with MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT, a new play by Scott T. Barsotti, directed by Damon Kiely. MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT features an all-star cast including Randy Steinmeyer, Kate Buddeke, Blair Robertson, Tyler Ross, Dane Halvorson and Danielle Brothers. MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT plays October 7 - November 14, 2010 in Richard Christiansen Theater, upstairs at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. The press opening is Friday, October 15 at 8 pm.

Lewis Black Hosts 4th Annual 'COMEDY CENTRAL Park' Live 7/21

This is one smokin' show that's B.Y.O.B. (bring your own blanket). 'The Daily Show & Friends' is this year's presentation of 'COMEDY CENTRAL Park' which will take place on Wednesday, July 21 at 8:00 p.m. The event will be hosted by Lewis Black and feature stand-up performances by 'Daily Show' correspondents Wyatt Cenac and John Oliver, series alum Rob Riggle, executive producer Rory Albanese and supervising producer Adam Lowitt.

The Maine Announces Tour and New Album, 7/13

Sire/Action Theory Records artists The Maine will be releasing their major label debut Black & White on July 13, 2010. The Howard Benson-produced Black & White is the follow-up to their 2008 Fearless Records release Can't Stop, Won't Stop.

The Maine Kicks Off Their Headline Tour, 7/7

Sire/Action Theory Records artists The Maine have announced their first-ever nationwide headlining tour. 'An Evening with The Maine,' presented by Alternative Press magazine, kicks off July 7th in San Francisco, CA and runs through August 27th in Mesa, AZ.

Cirque du Soleil's ZUMANITY Changes Performance Schedule, Effective 7/2

ZUMANITY, The Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil, will change performance days and times to 7:30pm and 10pm nightly, Friday through Tuesday. Previous show times were 7:30pm and 10:30pm and show days were Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday through Sunday. The new schedule is effective Friday, July 2, 2010.

O'Neill Theater Center's 2010 National Puppetry Conference Ends 6/20

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has announced details of the upcoming 20th Anniversary Season of its National Puppetry Conference, which will take place June 9 through 20, once again under the leadership of Artistic Director Pam Arciero. This year's Conference, drawing participants from around the world, will represent the largest gathering of puppet theater artists in its history.

Gordon's SYCAMORE TREES at Signature Closes 6/13

Previews will begin today at Virginia's Signature Theatre for the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees written by Ricky Ian Gordon, the award-winning composer of the opera The Grapes of Wrath and the musicals Dream True and My Life with Albertine. A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.
