LCT3 Presents 4000 MILES With Ebert, Wilson, Previews 6/6/2011

LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, will present the 4000 Miles a new play by Amy Herzog, directed by Daniel Aukin, as the third production of its 2010-2011 season.

2011 SpotLight Student Winners Represent MN at Nat'l Awards

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced that two SpotLight Award-winning students, Sarah Cartwright of Eastview High School in Apple Valley and Ryan McCartan of Minnetonka High School, were selected to represent Minnesota at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards to be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2011, at the Minskoff Theatre, 1535 Broadway in New York City.

A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL to Launch National Tour in November!

This holiday season, America's #1 Christmas movie comes to life on stage as a hilarious holiday musical. A Christmas Story, The Musical! features a bright holiday score by composer/lyricist team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd and the 1983 holiday film favorite. Acclaimed director/choreographer Warren Carlyle (Broadway's Finian's Rainbow, Follies at The Kennedy Center, An Evening With Hugh Jackman) will helm the production. Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie in the original 1983 film, serves as a producer for the holiday tour.

Greta Lee and Zoe Winters will join the previously announced Gabriel Ebert and Mary Louise Wilson in the third production of LCT3's 2010-2011 season. 4000 Miles will begin performances Monday, June 6, and run through Saturday, July 2 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project (229 West 42 Street). Opening night is Monday, June 20.

PlayhouseSquare Hosts International Children's Festival, 5/2-7

'Celebrating the world we share' is the theme for the second annual International Children's Festival presented by Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital to be held at PlayhouseSquare May 2-7, 2011. The International Children's Festival is a fun and interactive experience featuring performances, workshops, exhibits and an Art Walk. Many of the Festival activities are free of charge. More than 12,000 students and families participated in the first International Children's Festival held in May 2010.

The Children's Theatre Presents Winnie the Pooh, 4/30 - 5/1

The Children's Theatre of Dover and Kent County present Winnie the Pooh on April 30 & May 1, 2011. The production will be held at the Schwartz Center which is located at 226 South State St in Dover, DE 19901.
