Announcing the Cast and Production Team of Jackalope's 1980 (OR WHY I'M VOTING FOR JOHN ANDERSON)

It's 1980 and an unknown congressman from Illinois, John Anderson, just might have a chance to be President of the United States. In the candidate's Boston campaign office, four idealistic young campaign workers struggle to spread the hope that their long-shot candidate might bring to the country and to their lives, while staving off that era's Unthinkable Presidency. 1980 (Or Why I'm Voting For John Anderson) pits youthful optimism against the status quo, in a world premiere comedy about class, race, and the politics of change.

Rebecca Luker Set for Theatre Forward's 40th Anniversary Party Tonight

THE GIANT AND THE PIXIE to Make it's East Coast Premiere this September

Award-winning playwright Jonathan Josephson (Milwaukee Rep, Humana Festival) and director Jonathan Harper Schlieman (Actors Theatre of Louisville) have announced their latest collaboration: the east coast premiere of The Giant and The Pixie, fairy tale for grown ups. The play received its world premiere at Chance Theater in Anaheim, CA where it received a StageSceneLA award for Best Ensemble. The play was also named as a Finalist for the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference.

Tale of Vietnam Vet LONE STAR Extends Run at The Triad

 In April of 2017 at Wild Project in the East Village, a revival of James McLure's Lone Star, by NINE Theatricals, took the stage in New York City for only the second time since it's Broadway debut in 1979. The production was met with tremendous feedback and glowing reviews from New York City critics and audiences who had not before seen this lesser known work. With a demand for more shows, producers moved Lone Star, in May, to The Triad Theatre for a limited Off Broadway contract run.

Mosaic Theater Company of D.C. Announces Expansion of Staff and Unveils Special Event Series

Mosaic Theater Company of DC, the 2017 Helen Hayes Award-winning theatre for Outstanding Emerging Company, proudly announces an expansion of its senior artistic leadership team with the addition of Victoria Murray Baatin as Associate Artistic Director.  The Mosaic Board has also recently elected Bill Tompkins as its Chair. Outgoing Board Chair Deborah Carliner, who has served Mosaic since its Inaugural Season, will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.

Aurora Theatre Company's A NUMBER Extends

Due to popular pre-sale demand, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will add an additional two weeks of performances for the company's upcoming production of prolific playwright (Cloud Nine, Top Girls, Far Away, Drunk Enough to Say I Love You?, Bliss, Love and Information, Mad Forest) Caryl Churchill's A NUMBER. Aurora Theatre Company presents SPLENDOUR, Opening Today

Aurora Theatre Company closes its 25th season with the Bay Area Premiere of SPLENDOUR, Abi Morgan's (Suffragette, The Iron Lady, Shame, The Hour) riveting play about the fragility of power and the unreliability of language. Barbara Damashek (American Buffalo) returns to Aurora to helm this drama, featuring Lorri Holt (The Aspern Papers), Denmo Ibrahim (Betrayed), Mia Tagano, and Sam Jackson.
