Celebrated Arts Orgs to Collaborate on FOUR PLAYS - 100 YEARS: A Celebration of Women's Suffrage

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of New York State signing of woman's suffrage into law, three years before the US passed the 19th Amendment, Hangar Theatre, Kitchen Theatre Company, Civic Ensemble and Cherry Arts are collaborating on a two-night theater event: Four Plays - 100 Years. Performances will be at Kitchen Theatre Company on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16 and 17 at 7:30pm.

ACE: THE EUGENE BULLARD STORY Continues O.W.I.'s Reading Series at BPL

O.W.I. (Bureau of Theatre), a resident company at the Boston Center for the Arts, continues its second Spring/Summer season of free play readings at the Roslindale Branch of the Boston Public Library with playwright Natalia Naman Temesgen's, ACE: THE EUGENE BULLARD STORY, directed by Dawn Meredith Simmons.

Village Theatre closes out their season with the dynamic R&B spectacular Dreamgirls. With an extraordinary cast of vocal talents, slick costumes, and set designs custom built in Issaquah, Dreamgirls continues the theatre's path of raising the bar on production quality with each passing year. Audiences will be transported back to the 1960s as this award-winning musical offers a moving behind-the-scenes look of the entertainment business. 'I am so excited to be doing such an epic show with some of the most amazing people I've ever worked with,' says director, Steve Tomkins. 'The whole audition process was just wonderful, as each person came into the room and blew the roof off. I can't wait for opening night, because this cast is just going to send it through the roof again. They are truly outstanding.'

Santa Barbara Symphony Announces 2017-18 Season

Subscription sales have begun for the Santa Barbara Symphony's 2017-18 season, which will open October 14 with an extraordinary all-Mozart program accentuated by a ballet world premiere. The orchestra will present a total of nine enthralling programs at the Granada Theatre over the course of the season, including a pair of non-subscription concerts. Series packages start at $62.

City Parks Foundation Announces SUMMERSTAGE 2017 Season

City Parks Foundation has announced the 2017 season of SummerStage, New York City's largest free outdoor performing arts festival, bringing more than 100 performances to Central Park and 15 neighborhood parks throughout the five boroughs.
