The 2009-10 Broadway season began with a shirtless man and a bikini-clad woman posed dramatically under a spinning disco ball. Soon after, similarly underdressed performers danced their way up and down the aisles of the Longacre Theatre in displays that suggested over-caffeination more than artistry.

TV superstars Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, along with the cast of BURN THE FLOOR, Broadway's Latin and Ballroom dance spectacular, will perform tomorrow, Thursday August 6 live as part of LITE FM's 'Broadway in Bryant Park' series of summer Thursday concerts. Bryant Park is located on the Avenue of the Americas from 40th to 42nd Streets. The event goes from 12:30-1:30 PM.

Broadway's BURN THE FLOOR will welcome Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev into the show Tuesday, August 18. The alums of Fox TV's 'So You Think You Can Dance' will replace ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars' favorites Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff when they depart the show August 16.
