After pulling off the most difficult feat of appealing to both diehard Monty Python fans and newcomers to the British humorists, Monty Pythons Spamalot enjoyed a healthy and audience-pleasing run on The Great White Way before closing earlier this year. Tony and Emmy-winner Tyne Daly appeared on the hit ABC television show Grey's Anatomy last night and we've got some photos below. The episode is now available on ABC's web site for online viewing.
Tyne Daly won the Tony Award for her performance as Mama Rose in the 1989 revival of Gypsy. Her other Broadway credits include Rabbit Hole and Edward Albee's Me, Myself & I. On television, she starred for seven seasons in 'Cagney and Lacey' and six seasons in 'Judging Amy.'
Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the funniest musical in the universe, ends its reign on Broadway Sunday, January 11 following the evening performance, after 1,574 performances (and 35 previews).
