Conductor Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops, will make his debut at The Mann Center on June 24 leading the Philadelphia Orchestra in a scintillating concert headlined by Broadway powerhouse Idina Menzel.

According to The Orlando Sentinel, Antonio Banderas has begun work on his 'Shrek' spin-off, set for release in Winter 2011. The film will follow Banderas' character, Puss in Boots, before his first appearance in 'Shrek 2'.

Collective company member and Academy Award-winner Milton Justice (The Day I Stood Still - U.S. Premiere) directs a cast of nine in this new play that focuses on love, history, life and death in a small Southern town. Preview performances begin March 12 with an official press opening on Friday, March 19 at the Stella Adler-Los Angeles Theatre (6773 Hollywood Boulevard) in Hollywood.

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. It was announced today by John Jack Rodgers, the Executive Director of the Stella Adler-Los Angeles, that the academy and theatre has formed a new professional theatre company called the Stella Adler Los Angeles Theatre Collective.

The first, a musical version of the Pedro Almodóvar film WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, with book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics by David Yazbek and direction by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Saturday, October 2 when it will reopen the newly restored Belasco Theatre (111 W. 44 Street). Opening night is Thursday, November 4.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is helping out Betty's move to Wednesdays with a little dental comedy. On January 6, Ferguson is reprising his role from season one of the hit show as Betty's orthodontist. As told to Ew.com, Ferguson says 'It's a really fun scene between the two of them.'

60 years ago, the Stella Adler Studio opened its doors. Today, it is the most prestigious acting studio in the world. As part of its mission to give back to the community, the Studio has been providing free actor training - through the Outreach Division - to New York's inner city students who could not otherwise afford to go to the premiere school.
