Jean-Michel Jarre is one of electronic music's most important and influential figures, and Electronica Part 1: The Time Machine, is his most ambitious project to date.

Beginning this Saturday, the Elite Theatre Company's South Stage will be presenting Zero Hour, a one-man play about legendary actor Zero Mostel. The project is near and dear to the heart of actor John Medeiros, who has tried to get it produced for almost 5 years. Medeiros has performed in two roles made famous by Mostel, Pseudolus (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) and Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof). He won the Four Star Alliance Award in 2013 for Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal of Tevye.

The Skirball Cultural Center presents its sixth Into the Night - a nighttime, outdoor celebration that combines live performances, hands-on activities, and after-dark access to the Skirball Museum galleries. Taking place tonight Friday, July 17, at 8:00 p.m., this edition of Into the Night features synth-pop band Tamaryn as they play to a live liquid light show by the Joshua Light Show. Interactive poetry and art making, a photo booth, and specialty cocktails top off this special event. Additional special guests to be announced.

A challenging show for even a professional company, this community theatre tackles Pete Townshend's landmark piece with gusto and innovative staging by director Melissa Jo York-Tilley and co-choreographers Melanie Marie Gibson and Ahmad Maaty. Boasting some strong performances of the classic rock score, the production gets an “E” for effort.

Awards shows are catnip for entertainment enthusiasts around the world not only because they are a celebration of the best of the breed in whatever medium or genre the presentation recognizes but also because a live telecast with so many stars and so many categories allows for ample room for entertainment - and error. Netflix will launch the documentary, The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir, exclusively on the world's leading Internet TV network today, May 22nd.
