Odyssey Opera Announces THE BRITISH INVASION: A Festival of English Musical Dramas

Odyssey Opera, a Boston-??based opera company dedicated to exploring the full spectrum of adventurous repertoire, today announced THE BRITISH INVASION, a month-??long opera festival of fully-??staged productions of works by English composers. From May 17-??June 20, Boston opera lovers will have the unique opportunity to choose from four evening-??length programs encompassing nine diverse operatic works, including the Boston premiere of Vaughan Williams's Sir John in Love, a double bill of Walton's The Bear and Sullivan's The Zoo, five compelling monodramas, and Ade?s's masterpiece of modern cultural commentary, Powder Her Face. Sartori Wins Three Gold Medals at US Championship Cheese Contest

Sartori Company was awarded gold medals for their Limited Edition Peppermint BellaVitano , Limited Edition Pastorale Blend, and shredded SarVecchio Parmesan at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The competition, hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, set a new record this year with 1,885 entries from 28 states.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Broadway favorites Ann Morrison ('Merrily We Roll Along'), Pamela Myers ('Company') & Chip Zien ('Into The Woods') in 'SONDHEIM ORIGINALS - OLD FRIENDS' this weekend, January 16 & 17, 2015. These three original Sondheim cast members share songs and stories, recalling their experiences creating their roles in these landmark musicals on Broadway. The show is conceived and directed by Grammy and Emmy Award winner, John McDaniel, as part of his second season as artistic director of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's Cabaret and Performance conference.

Lakewood Theatre Company will present in December 2014 an all-new version of their annual Holiday Magic Breakfast Theatre production with the presentation of The Peppermint Bear Show and the Toy Elves.
Performances will be in Lakewood Center's Community Meeting Room at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Saturdays December 6, 13, and 20. Tickets are $12.00 for students and adults and includes a light continental breakfast available 1/2 hour before the performance. The theatre is located at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.
