Festival Stage of Winston-Salem will conclude its second season of resident professional theatre with the new office-based farce Hatchetman, which runs May 11-27 at Hanesbrands Theatre (209 N. Spruce Street, Winston-Salem).

Continuing its reinvigoration, The Pearl Theatre Company has signed a 20-year lease on 555 West 42nd Street, the venue recently vacated by Signature Theatre Company, J.R. Sullivan, The Pearl's Artistic Director, announced today. The Pearl will inaugurate its permanent home with its 29th season, beginning this fall. Denham Wolf, a firm specializing in providing real estate services to cultural and other nonprofit organizations, served as The Pearl's broker and consultant in this transaction.

THE PEARL THEATRE COMPANY (J.R. Sullivan, Artistic Director) has announced the appointment of David Roberts as the new Managing Director of the 28 year-old organization. Beginning February 27, Roberts will helm the administrative operations at The Pearl as the company prepares its final production of the current season, A Moon for the Misbegotten. Mr. Roberts replaces Shira Beckerman, who ended her tenure as the managerial head of the company last fall to become Managing Director of the Philadelphia Theatre Company.
