In light of yesterday's events and in celebration of the life and work of Michael Jackson, The GRAMMY Museum has extended and re-purposed the exhibit, Michael Jackson: HIStyle. Starting today, a collection of Jackson's most iconic wardrobe pieces (including the suit he wore on the cover of the Thriller album) will be exhibited on the Museum's third floor alongside video of some of his most exciting GRAMMY performances. This will all open to the public this morning at 11:30am PST.

Multiple news outlets, including the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press, are reporting that Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, has died. The singer was 50 years old.

Music's Biggest Night, the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards, returns to Los Angeles' STAPLES Center on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, and will air live on the CBS Television Network from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). To accommodate an earlier date, the eligibility year for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be shortened by one month (Oct. 1, 2008 - Aug. 31, 2009). The date for the GRAMMY nominations announcement - which showcases GRAMMY Award finalists, the year's best and brightest in music as voted on by The Recording Academy's membership of music professionals - will be reported shortly.

SonyBMG Chief Creative Officer and three-time GRAMMY? winner Clive Davis and The Recording Academy? will present the annual Pre-GRAMMY Gala on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, continuing the party that has been a Davis legacy for nearly 30 years. This exclusive, star-studded celebration - attended by artists and industry VIPs in music, film and television and featuring special musical performances - again will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., the evening before the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards.
