The World Premiere of Jerry Mayer's 'How to Love a Republican' - a Political Romantic Comedy' Opens Saturday, October 1st at Santa Monica Playhouse.

Dramatists Guild Fund President Andrew Lippa and Executive Director Rachel Routh announced today this year's gala theme will be Great Writers Thank Their Lucky Stars: The Presidential Edition taking place the evening before Election Day on November 7, 2016 (6:30 PM).

The Dizzy Feet Foundation (DFF) presented the sixth annual 'Celebration of Dance' Gala at The Novo last night in Los Angeles. Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Maddie Ziegler, Paula Abdul, Joely Fisher, Elizabeth Berkely, Mitzi Gaynor, Sir Matthew Bourne, Allison Holker, Piper Perabo and Kevin Zegers were among the celebrities that came to support DFF, a non-profit organization founded by Nigel Lythgoe (American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance)and director Adam Shankman(Hairspray, Rock of Ages), whose mission is to sponsor, fund and/or support access to and the quality of dance education programs that expose children in low-income areas to the lifelong benefits of dance education in the United States.

The Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) Gypsy Awards Luncheon, honoring singer, dancer and choreographer Paula Abdul, legendary entertainer Dick Van Dyke, and famed choreographers Kevin Carlisle and Carl Jablonski, took place on April 24, 2016 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. ?Award winning singer/ dancer/choreographer Paula Abdul has been named the honoree for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.  Ms. Abdul will be honored on Sunday, April 24th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (9876 Wilshire Blvd.) and famed choreographers Carl Jablonski and Kevin Carlisle will receive PDS Choreography Awards, for their extraordinary contribution to dance.  In a special tribute, legendary entertainer Dick Van Dyke will receive The Dance Legacy Award.

Legendary jazz singer and lyricist Jon Hendricks, dubbed 'The Poet Laureate of Jazz,' celebrated jazz vocalist and actress Annie Ross, and acclaimed jazz singer Janis Siegel are among the artists who will be honored at the 31st Annual Bistro Awards gala tonight, March 8 at 6:30 pm at the Gotham Comedy Club, 208 W. 23rd St. As is the Bistro Awards tradition, the evening will feature performances by the winners.

Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) will honor the multi-talented actress, singer, philanthropist and Las Vegas headliner Olivia Newton-John as Woman of the Year for the 32nd Annual BLACK & WHITE BALL.

A new batch of tickets are now on sale for the Off-Broadway premiere of Jerry Mayer's new comedy, 2 ACROSS, which began a open-ended engagement on November 14th at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). Emmy Award nominee Evelyn Rudie ("Eloise") directs a cast that stars Andrea McArdle and Kip Gilman. Tickets are now on sale through March 20th. Wednesday Matinees at 2pm have also been added to accommodate the demand.

ELOISE creator Hilary Knight caught up with Evelyn Rudie who created the role of ELOISE in 1956 on television's 'Playhouse 90.' It brought her critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination at age six-the first time a child actress was so honored.
