Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of the Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre, today announced that Signature Theatre is expanding its American Musical Voices Project (AMVP) for a fourth year with the commission and production of a new musical by Adam Guettel for its 2011-2012 season. Also announced as part of The Next Generation segment of the AMVP were two additional musical commissions awarded to Peter Foley and Marisa Michelson as well as honoree grants given to Chris Miller and Scott Davenport Richards for the development of future musical ideas. Signature, with the support of The Shen Family Foundation, has awarded $595,000 to artists in honors and commissions in the past three years. The American Musical Voices Project is the largest single musical theater commissioning and producing initiative at any non-profit theater in America.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Sonia Friedman Productions and Ostar Productions presents Sienna Miller as 'Miss Julie', Jonny Lee Miller as 'John' and Marin Ireland as 'Christine' in the American premiere of playwright Patrick Marber's drama After Miss Julie, a version of Strindberg's Miss Julie, directed by Mark Brokaw.

James Macdonald returns to the Almeida to direct the world premiere of Christopher Hampton's new version of Ödön von Horváth's Judgment Day. Judgment Day will run at the Almeida from 3 September - 17 October 2009, with press night on 10 September. Set designs are by Miriam Buether with costume design is by Moritz Junge, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Chris Shutt and music by Matthew Herbert.

Victoria Wood is to direct a new version of her play Talent, a comedy with songs, previewing at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 17 September with press night on 23 September, and running until 14 November.

Paris' Théâtre du Châtelet has announced via their website that Kristin Scott Thomas will play Desiree Armfeldt and Leslie Caron will play Madame Armfeldt in Jonathan Stockhammer's upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music.

Renowned UK singer and performer John Barrowman will star in ROBIN HOOD: THE PANTOMIME ADVENTURE at the New Theatre in Cardiff. The production will run December 12, 2009 through January 24, 2010.

Gerard Alessandrini (creator, writer and director) and Philip George (director) will bring their multi-award winning satirical musical, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, for a limited run only at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 25 June to 13 September, with press night on 02 July. The show, which last month wrapped up its record-breaking 27-year run in New York makes its first visit to London in 10 years.

T.R. Knight has confirmed his next project; the 'Grey's Anatomy' actor will star in PARADE at the Mark Taper Forum. The production is based on the 2007 London production, which appeared at the famed Donmar Warehouse. Knight will star as Leo Frank in the Jason Robert Brown-Alfred Uhry masterpiece.

The Broadway revival of 'A Little Night Music' is expected to go into a Jujamcyn theater this fall, according to a NY Times story. The paper reports that an announcement will soon be released with details of the production.

La Cage aux Folles is a 1973 French farce by Jean Poiret centring on confusion that ensues when the son of a Saint Tropez night club owner and his gay lover brings his fiancée's ultra conservative parents for dinner.
