Producer Douglas Denoff announced today that original Broadway and off-Broadway cast member Arnie Burton will depart the two-time Tony Award winning hilarious hit comedy 39 Steps, following his 1,000th performance as Man #2/Clown #2 on Monday, September 28th. Having originated the role in the original Broadway production, Burton returned for the current engagement at the Union Square Theatre. Cameron Pow (The Lion King) will join the cast on Wednesday, September 30th, taking over for Burton.

David Pogue will be appearing in one of the most successful shows around the world, 39 STEPS, on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Union Square, NYC.

The fun never stops at 39 STEPS! Not only is it the show that Broadway comes to on their night off, but last night Randy Jones, the Village People's Cowboy, took in the two-time Tony Award winning hit comedy at the Union Square Theatre and met with the cast afterwards. 39 STEPS is where Broadway comes on their night off! This past Monday, the Times Square spectacle QUEEN OF THE NIGHT paid a visit to downtown's most theatrical show, the two-time Tony Award winning hit comedy 39 STEPS, which is playing the Union Square Theatre. The cast went backstage afterwards to say hello to the 39 STEPS company, with red nosies and all - scroll down for photos!

In honor of the show's return to New York this year, BroadwayWorld caught up with Carter, who recently wrapped a run in the West End musical I CAN'T SING! (opposite Cynthia Erivo,) to find out what he thought the made the piece 'a little golden gem,' how he found his footing in the dozens of characters he portrays, and more!

Yesterday was Alfred Hitchcock's 116th birthday. The company of 39 Steps celebrated the Master of Suspense's birthday by launching a daily in-person lottery at the Union Square Theatre and by bringing out a specially designed cake by Cake Alchemy during the curtain call. Monday Night Football is almost as exciting as Monday nights at 39 STEPS, especially when Dallas Cowboys superstar QB Tony Romo and his wife Candice, who are big theatre fans, decide to catch a performance! The two-time Tony Award winning hilarious hit comedy 39 Steps has announced it will kick off the Independence Day holiday weekend by adding a specially-priced matinee performance on Friday, July 3 at 3PM with all tickets priced at $39. The evening performance on July 3 will remain at 8PM. 

Based on John Buchan's 1914 spy thriller The Thirty Nine Steps and adapted for the stage by Patrick Barlow (Desmond Oliver Dingle/The National Theatre of Brent), The 39 Steps is directed by Maria Aitken, with design by Peter McKintosh, lighting by Ian Scott, sound by Mic Pool, and movement by Toby Sedgwick.
