The Chicago Humanities Festival is moving full speed ahead towards the 27th annual Fallfest, releasing its full line-up of events. Fallfest/16: Speed will feature more than 100 events by prominent artists, authors, historians, scientists, and cultural commentators including Dan Savage, Maureen Dowd, Trevor Noah, and Jonathan Lethem.

truTV announced today details for two of its upcoming projects - the new hybrid comedy series Jon JON GLASER LOVES GEAR created by and starring Jon Glaser (Trainwreck, Parks and Recreation, Girls), and the scripted comedy pilot Small Victories, created by and starring Melissa Hunter (Maya and Marty).

Evans, presents the World Premiere of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon and directed by Jessica Thebus, runs November 10 - December 18, 2016 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. The press opening is scheduled for Friday, November 18 at 8 pm.

The Acting Company honored legendary theatrical director Mark Lamos and distinguished patron of the arts J. Barclay Collins at its annual gala Monday, October 17, at New York's Metropolitan Club, One East 60th St. The event featured cocktails, silent auction, dinner, entertainment and award ceremony. Golden Globe nominee and Tony Award winner Liev Schreiber will be honored at the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene [NYTF] Golden Gala at the Museum of Jewish Heritage on Monday, December 12th, 7pm. Schreiber is currently in New York City and can be seen playing the lead role of Le Vicomte de Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses on Broadway through January 22, 2017.
