Peter Bartlett Joins Pittu In Atlantic's 'What's That Smell' Starting 9/2

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Andrew D. Hamingson, Managing Director) is proud to announce that Peter Bartlett (The New Century, The Drowsy Chaperone) will star opposite two-time Tony Award® nominee David Pittu (Is He Dead?, LoveMusik), in the world premiere production of WHAT'S THAT SMELL: THE MUSIC OF JACOB STERLING, featuring original music by Randy Redd.

Manoel Felciano Stars in A.C.T's 'Rock 'n' Roll'

Manoel Felciano, Tony Award-nominated actor and musician, is having the time of his life in the City by the Bay. But then making his Bay Area and Tom Stoppard debut at A.C.T. has been a dream come true. 'To be able to make my Bay Area professional debut at A.C.T. with a Stoppard play is like hitting the jackpot on all three levels: professional, artistic, and personal,' says Felciano, who stars in the West Coast premiere of Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll at A.C.T. Born and raised in San Francisco before moving to New York City to pursue a career in music, Felciano plays the lead role of Jan, a rock music-obsessed graduate student fighting for freedom of expression in Soviet-dominated Prague. Performances start September 11.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) launches its 2008-09 Season with Tom Stoppard's critically acclaimed Rock 'n' Roll in a West Coast premiere directed by Artistic Director Carey Perloff, who has had a celebrated artistic partnership with Stoppard for over a decade. A rapturous, decades-spanning tale of Prague's rock revolution, Rock 'n' Roll follows the passions and politics of a Marxist professor in Cambridge and his Rolling Stones-obsessed protege fighting for freedom in Soviet-dominated Czechoslovakia.

George Psomas Performs Solo At Zipper 8/4

New York Musical Theater Festival's 2007 'Broadway Idol' winner, George Psomas, takes a night off from his role in the acclaimed revival of South Pacific to take the stage in his solo New York concert debut on Monday August 4th (10 PM) - joined by several special guests including Tony Award nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q) and Jim Stanek (Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, staring with Nathan Lane). NYMF Director of Programming Jess McLeod directs, with musical direction by Jana Zielonka, along with musicians Brad Russell and Jay Mack.
