According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'The Treehouse', a film based on the novel Schwüle Tage, will star Jeremy Irons and Kim Cattrall. The film's budget is set at the relatively conservative $10 million mark, produced by Transcorda Filmproduktion of Hamburg and Groundswell Productions of the UK.

Hosted by actor and director Art Hindle (E.N.G., Paradise Falls ), a total of 38 awards were presented as well as the Margaret Collier Award and the Academy Achievement Award. The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television also paid tribute to 2010 MasterWorks Television Honouree Polka Dot Winners in Documentary, Lifestyle, News, and Sports categories were announced on Tuesday, November 2nd. The 25th Annual Gemini Awards will conclude with the Broadcast Gala on Saturday, November 13th at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto. Hosted by Glee's Cory Monteith, the event will be broadcast on Global and Showcase at 8pm.

Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall, has returned to the stage to star in Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra at Liverpool Playhouse. The production, which is directed by Janet Suzman, includes Jeffery Kissoon as Antony along with RSC's Ian Hogg and Martin Hutson.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced back in August that Bernadette Peters will star as Sally Durant Plummer in the Kennedy Center production of Follies in the Eisenhower Theater May 7 to June 5, 2011.
Additionally, BroadwayWorld.com had heard that starring alongside Peters could be Sex and the City star and Golden Globe winner Kim Cattrall as Phyllis, Danny Burstein as Buddy and John Dossett as Ben, all of whom were cast and were then in contract negotiations.
We've now heard from reliable sources that neither Cattrall or Dossett were able to work out their contract deals for the production and that both sides have moved in. Now said to be in talks? The Lark Play Development Center is pleased to host Belarus Free Theatre for a public reading of Charonville by Nikolai Khalezin, directed by Lisa Rothe, with original translation by Yuriy Koliada and Rory Mullarky and dramaturgical and translation assistance by Erik Ehn. The reading takes place at 7pm on Wednesday, September 22 at the Lark Studio.
