Long Wharf Theatre presents, in conjunction with Eva Price, THE LION, written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, directed by Sean Daniels, from tonight, January 6 through February 7, 2016. The play will take place on Stage II. The press opening will take place on January 13, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

In an unprecedented outpouring of support by performers, a second show had to be added to accommodate the number of stars that wanted to sing in honor of Barbara Siegel's contributions to the theater as first an Outer Critics Circle Nominator and then a Drama Desk Nominator (the latter, 18 years, 12 of those as chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee).

York Theatre Company's New York premiere of PLAID TIDINGS, the holiday edition of the ever popular FOREVER PLAID, with book by Stuart Ross, original FOREVER PLAID vocal and musical arrangements by James Raitt, and vocal and musical arrangements by James Raitt, Brad Ellis, Raymond Berg and David Snyder, begins tonight, December 8, 2015.

The life and work of Will Holt, known for his immeasurable contributions to folk music and the musical theatre, will be celebrated by the York Theatre Company. 

The York Theatre Company honors Broadway and Hollywood legend Angela Lansbury with the 2015 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre tonight, November 16, 2015 at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street).

That's the type of evening Our Guy Cy is. Composer Cy Coleman wrote some of the greatest Broadway tunes you will ever hear and they have been brilliantly selected and packaged in a show conceived & directed by Will Nunziata and produced by Wayne J. The Jewish Channel will continue its second season of its popular theater-oriented monthly TV show, ROW J, beginning today, October 28. ROW J is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton.
