For season 1, Game of Thrones won 2 out of the 13 nominations for the 2011 Emmy Awards. That same year, the series won a number of other awards including three Scream Awards for Best TV Show, Best Supporting Actor (Peter Dinklage), and Breakout Performance - Female (Emilia Clarke). The HBO network has been consistently renewing the hit show every season for the following year as soon as the 1st episodes' rankings came in. To comply with this trend, they have recently once again renewed for season 4 to air in 2014.

Deadline reports that Richard Plepler, CEO of HBO network has hinted that they may consider offering HBO Go mobile in partnership with Internet service providers. The exec told Reutors this week, "Maybe HBO Go, with our broadband partners, could evolve.'

The return of the second season of HBO's fantasy drama series GAME OF THRONES was a ratings winner for the cable network, pulling in 3.9 million viewers for its premiere episode on Sunday, April 1. The show broke its previous ratings record of 3 million viewers who tuned in to last year's Season 1 finale. The second season debut saw a 74% increase from the series premiere last year.
