Drive Theatre Company is doing its best to ensure that people are prepared to vote by presenting 44 PLAYS FOR 44 PRESIDENTS as part of the Plays for Presidents Festival 2012.

New York Philharmonic Chairman Gary W. Parr and Executive Director Matthew VanBesien announced today the extension of Alan Gilbert's contract as Music Director through the 2016-17 season. Mr. Gilbert opened his tenure as Music Director on September 16, 2009, and has just begun his fourth season.

The concert features the works of two of today's hottest young composers, Nico Muhly and Daniel Bjarnason, both active in the Reykjavik, Iceland music scene and part of Bedroom Community, an Icelandic record label/collective formed in 2006.
