The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere production of A Confederacy of Dunces, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by John Kennedy Toole, directed by David Esbjornson (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and All My Sons) and featuring Nick Offerman of NBC's 'Parks and Recreation.'  Performances begin November 11, 2015 and will run through December 13, 2015 at the BU Theatre / Avenue of the Arts. 

New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 31st Powerhouse Season, have announced the first round of casting for their summer collaboration, which runs June 26 - August 2 at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie.

The American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice just presented the winners of the 60th Annual OBIE Awards. The Public Theater's Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda (including special citations for Andy Blankenbuehler, Thomas Kail, and Alex Lacamoire) received the OBIE Award for Best New American Theatre Work, which is accompanied by a $1,000 check. The Signature Theatre's Founding Artistic Director James Houghton received the OBIE Award for Sustained Achievement. The Awards were hosted by OBIE Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria ('Orange is the New Black'). Playwrights Horizons' world premiere production of GRAND CONCOURSE, a new play by playwright and two-time Obie Award-winning actress Heidi Schreck (author of There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature, Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie'), opened last night, November 12, 2014.

Playwrights Horizons announced today that their New York premiere production of the acclaimed new play Bootycandy, written and directed by Obie Award winner Robert O'Hara, would extend an additional week. The production is the season opener of the theater company's 2014/2015 Season. After opening on Wednesday, September 10, the limited engagement -- originally scheduled to play through Sunday, October 12 -- will now play through Sunday, October 19 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
