The Nora Theatre Company Presents A Moon for the Misbegotten 10/7-11/7

The Nora Theatre Company opens their season with a revival of Eugene O'Neill's enduring masterpiece, A Moon for the Misbegotten. Directed by Richard McElvain, A Moon for the Misbegotten plays at Central Square Theater from Thursday, October 7th through Sunday, November 7th. The press performance is scheduled for Sunday, October 10 at 2 PM.

The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 2010-2011 Season with Bus Stop, William Inge's American classic. Former Huntington artistic director Nicholas Martin returns to direct on The Huntington's main stage - the Boston University Theatre, 264 Huntington Avenue, Boston.

LONG SEASON Reading Held Roy Arias Studio: Studio IV 9/16

The new musical Long Season by Chay Yew and Fabian Obispo will be read Thursday, September 16 at 12pm as part of the Huntington Theatre Company's Breaking Ground reading series. The reading, located at the Roy Arias Studio, is free and open to the public, though reservations are required as seating is extremely limited.

Boston Theatre Team Up to present CIRCLE MIRROR et al This Fall

As previously announced, three Boston theatre companies will engage in a landmark local collaboration this fall to produce breakout writer Annie Baker's first three plays - Circle Mirror Transformation, produced by the Huntington Theatre Company (October 15 - November 14), Body Awareness, produced by SpeakEasy Stage Company (October 22 - November 20), and The Aliens, produced by Company One (October 22 - November 20). All set in the fictional town of Shirley, VT, the plays will run together in the first-ever festival dedicated to the work of this wryly observant young writer, which will be curated by the Huntington Theatre Company.

New Rep Announces CHERRY DOCS 10/18-11/7

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is thrilled to present the New England Premiere of Cherry Docs by Canadian playwright David Gow. Cherry Docs opens for the press on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 7:30pm and plays through Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in the Charles Mosesian Theater.

2010-2011 Huntington 35 Below Wrap Parties Announced

Huntington Theatre Company continues its series of '35 Below' Wrap Parties this fall with 'Heartache Over Easy' on Friday, September 17 following the performance of William Inge's classic American comedy Bus Stop and 'Home for the F*!@ing Holidays' on Friday, November 12 following the performance of Bob Glaudini's searing and funny world premiere Vengeance is the Lord's.

Water Tower Announces Cast for CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION, 11/4-21

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced casting details for Circle Mirror Transformation which will be performed in the Studio Theatre, November 4 - 21, 2010. The cast features Lynn Blackburn as Theresa, Kayla Carlyle as Lauren, Lisa Hassler as Marty, Bill Jenkins as James and Ted Wold as Schultz.

TRUST Closes at 2nd Stage 9/5

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, Sutton Foster, and Ari Graynor will co-star in the world premiere comedy TRUST, written by Paul Weitz, directed by Peter DuBois. Mr. Weitz returns to Second Stage Theatre, where his plays Privilege and Show People premiered in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Directed by Peter DuBois, who staged Second Stage's acclaimed production of Becky Shaw, TRUST will begin previews on Friday, July 23 at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) and officially open on Thursday, August 12. The production runs through September 5.

YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU Off for Fall

The New York Times is reporting that the revival of YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU will no longer open this fall as scheduled, nor will it play its planned pre-Broadway run at Huntington stage. Due to what lead producer Elizabeth McCann says was the busying schedule of director Anna D. Shapiro, and the passing of Martin Sheen on the lead role the production has now been delayed pending the finding of a star and theatre. No new dates have been announced.

Publik Theatre Announces Cast of Stoppard's THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND, Sept. 2-25

Publick Theatre Boston (http://www.publicktheatre.com), a resident company of the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA), will present Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound September 2 - 25, 2010 (Previews are September 2 - 5) at the BCA Plaza Theatre, 539 Tremont Street, South End Boston.

A.R.T. Announces Creative Teams for the 2010/11 Season

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), under the Artistic Direction of Diane Paulus, is pleased to announce further details of its 2010/11 Season, beginning on August 31 with Cabaret, followed by Alice vs. Wonderland, The Blue Flower, R. Buckminster Fuller - The History (and mystery) of the Universe, Ajax, Prometheus Bound, and Death and the Powers: The Robots' Opera.

Fonda, Lithgow, Dukakis Set for Plays at Mark Taper Forum

The 2011 Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum season was announced today by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. Stellar actors such as Jane Fonda, John Lithgow and Olympia Dukakis will be featured in plays by Moisés Kaufman, John Lithgow and Morris Panych, respectively, plus works by Lanford Wilson and Theresa Rebeck will be presented in the Taper's 44th season at the Los Angeles Music Center.
