AMERICA'S GOT TALENT Announces Youtube Auditions
by Nicole Rosky
- May 6, 2011
NBC's 'America's Got Talent' and its producers have re-partnered with YouTube to allow talented acts from across the country the opportunity to audition online for their shot at stardom and a million-dollar prize, it was announced today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios. Much like season 5 finalist Jackie Evancho, who became a worldwide singing sensation after her online submission led to her competing on the #1 summer series, hopefuls once again can audition online by submitting their auditions via YouTube. Powered by YouTube, beginning May 5 through June 9, acts of all ages can now upload their audition videos via the 'America's Got Talent' Audition App, or at www.youtube.com/americasgottalent, or at nbc.com/agt, as well as the 'America's Got Talent' Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/nbcagt. Following the June 9 deadline, producers will select 20 acts for the YouTube community to view and vote for their favorites. The #1 YouTube act with the most votes will automatically gain a place on the YouTube-branded quarterfinal broadcast episode.

BWW Interviews: Nashville's FUNNY Fannys - Lindsay Terrizzi Hess
by Jeffrey Ellis
- Apr 18, 2011
In the upcoming Keeping Scores' concert version of Funny Girl, set for April 29-May 1 at Boiler Room Theatre, director Scott Logsdon has cast 12 different, yet very funny and somehow uniquely qualified actresses to take on the iconic role of Fanny Brice. First brought to national, then international, acclaim by the legendary Barbra Streisand, the role of Fanny Brice is a coveted role among musical theater performers. But, somehow, things offstage seem to be going swimmingly at rehearsals; meanwhile we attempt to ferret out any backstabbing and catfights - and despite our best efforts to uncover any nefarious goings-on (when offstage, they're apparently gathered around a campfire singing 'Kumbaya'), we haven't dug us any dirt...YET! Maybe we can get today's Fanny to squeal. She's Lindsay Terrizzi Hess, who looks so much like Fanny Brice you'll do a double-take! What's on her mind?
