Shotgun Theatre Presents MARY STUART, 10/6-11/7

Two hundred years ago in England, or yesterday in America? The showdown between Elizabeth, Queen of England, and Mary, Queen of Scots plays itself out like a juicy political thriller, replete with intrigue, plot twists, and several stabbed backs. Mary Stuart begins October 6th and runs through November 7th at The Ashby Stage.

The Red Bull Theater announces its 2010-2011 Revelation Readings. Some actors and actresses involved in the readings include Maria Dizzia, Jessica Hecht, Jan Maxwell, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mary Testa, and Michael Urie. All readings are on Mondays at 7:30pm, except as noted, and take place at Theater at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street, between 9th & 10th Avenues. (Cast and details Subject to Change.)

Every summer since 1951, highly acclaimed international actors from theatre, film and television have brought major works of world literature to the stage each evening, performing for an audience of 1600 in the setting provided by the ruin of a Romanesque church dating to the 12th century.

Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today the final production of Goodman Theatre's 2009/2010 season-The Good Negro, Tracey Scott Wilson's 'thunderous...stunning' (Variety) new play, comes to Chicago fresh from its off-Broadway run at The Public Theater. Resident Director Chuck Smith, who previously collaborated with Wilson on the Goodman's 2004/2005 Chicago-premiere production of The Story, will direct The Good Negro in the Albert Theatre in Spring 2010.
