A team of experienced pros with extensive Broadway, regional and TV experience, will perform the hilarious, madcap comedy RUMORS, by Neil Simon, at the Saint Michael's Playhouse July 17 to 27. The show will be staged, evenings at 8 p.m. July 17 to 20, and 23-27 and matinees at 2 p.m. July 20 and 27.

According to the Hartford Courant, the State of Connecticut has just approved a $3 million grant to the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center to create a new National Music Theater Institute. The program will launch in Fall 2014 and will include 'seven new dormitory cottages creating living spaces for 65people, a laundry building, a new rehearsal hall and conversion of an existing structure into a production facility.'

Goodman Theatre presents four free staged readings of new plays developed in the Playwrights Unit, a season-long residency program for local writers who meet twice monthly with members of the theater's artistic staff to discuss their plays in progress.
