The Public Theater will begin previews for the MOBILE UNIT'S Hamlet on Monday, September 19.

Due to unprecedented advance ticket sales,Cirque du Soleil is extending the San Francisco Bay Area engagements of its latest Big Top production LUZIA by three weeks in San Francisco and two weeks in San Jose. Tickets are now on pre-sale exclusively to Cirque Club members and will be available to the general public beginning Friday, September 16.

The Theater at Monmouth's new production of Pierre de Beaumarchais' delightful, provocative 18th century comedy, The Barber of Seville, (in translation by Elizabeth Griffith) sparkles not only with saucy wit, but also with a striking modernity. The first play from the French master's Figaro trilogy is a comedy of manners about marriage with the underlying theme - embodied in the wily Figaro - of class conflict. And though the historical context is Enlightenment France, Rosine's quest for self-determination and love and Figaro's cheerfully impudent challenging of a hierarchical society ring with relevance.

In addition, they are delighted to confirm award-winning actress Cush Jumbo and prize-winning journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown will be included in the Encampment line-up at Southbank Centre, as previously announced, taking place inside the iconic Good Chance Dome, direct from the Calais 'Jungle' refugee camp from 30 July to 7 August.
