Winter Performance Schedule Announced for Bemelmans Bar at Carlyle Hotel

The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, is pleased to welcome Champian Fulton, The Brandon McCune Trio, The Chris Gillespie Trio, and Tony DeSare to Bemelmans Bar for Sunday night residencies throughout the winter 2016 season. Featuring top artists from the worlds of jazz, cabaret and Broadway alongside special unannounced guests, Sunday nights at Bemelmans Bar have become a favorite spot for a wide range of performing musicians across the city. Additionally, the classic watering hole has drawn crowds consisting of socialites, politicians, movie stars and moguls for?more than five decades. The concert commemorates the centennial year of the birth of Billie Holiday and also celebrates other groundbreaking icons of American popular song, from Ella Fitzgerald to Sarah Vaughan to Dinah Washington.

The concert honors the duo's timeless work, which has captured the hearts of every generation of music lovers, and will feature guest artists Sierra Boggess and Steven Pasquale. The program will feature numbers from all eleven of the collaborations between Rodgers and Hammerstein. Selections will include 'A Wonderful Guy' and 'Some Enchanted Evening' from South Pacific, 'The Sound of Music' from The Sound of Music, and 'Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin' from Oklahoma!.

Carly most recently starred on Broadway as Velma Kelly in Chicago and as The Leading Player in Pippin. A recipient of the prestigious Princess Grace Awards, her other Broadway credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon, Ghost, Ragtime, 25th Annual Putname County Spelling Bee and The Grinch. Carly is also featured in the upcoming movie adaptation of Ahrens & Flaherty's musical, Lucky Stiff.
