She'll be kicking off her next 50 years on this planet with a celebration of song and humorous stories that will make you laugh and cry while celebrating life with this one-woman show that promises to inspire and motivate.

Motown the Musical, the Broadway show which dramatizes the rise and fall of the record label of the same name, opened yesterday in Toronto at The Princess of Wales Theatre. Though full of hit songs you will recognize, overall the show was underwhelming and lacked enough exposition to hold the audience's attention for almost three hours.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy are proud to announce that single tickets forMOTOWN THE MUSICAL will go on sale Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will play at the Saenger Theatre for a limited engagement from Jan. 19 -24, 2016. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the production is part of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2015 - 2016 season.

UP IN THE AIR, a tribute to dance legend Louis Johnson, will take place Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the Peter Norton Theater at Symphony Space located at 2537 Broadway in New York City. The event has two purposes: to honor the life and work of Johnson and to raise funds to complete a feature length documentary about the renowned dancer entitled UP IN THE AIR.

 THE BLACK BOX, downtown Franklin's new theater, music, and event venue, kicks off its 2015-2016 season with the highly anticipated reunion concert of Boston's popular R&B band, Soul Kitchen.
