Producers Howard Panter and John Frost announced today that the creator of The Rocky Horror Show, Richard O'Brien, would join the production to play the Narrator for the Adelaide season only. The 2014 Australian tour of The Rocky Horror Show is proving to be a phenomenal success with the Brisbane season selling out, and the Perth season kicking off last weekend to great acclaim. The production is receiving standing ovations at every performance, with audiences ecstatically dancing the Time Warp.

Joining television and theatre star Craig McLachlan in the new production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show will be a fresh, exciting and talented cast of Australia's best musical theatre performers. Producers Howard Panter and John Frost today announced cast members for the 2014 Australian tour of The Rocky Horror Show, which opens in January at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC, Brisbane followed by seasons at the Crown Theatre, Perth in February, the Festival Theatre, Adelaide in March, and the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne in April.

Orchestra Victoria, under the direction of maestro John Foreman sweep into the overture of the production company's production of Singin' In The Rain with such flamboyance and precision that anything that follows seems mundane and a little underwhelming. This is a combination of the show, the cast and the limited set, constricting the cast's ability to maximise their skill and talent.

Legendary Broadway composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz travels to Melbourne for three special performances of his works Godspell, Pippin and Children of Eden at Melbourne Recital Centre in September, realised by the award-winning theatre company Magnormos and a stellar Australian cast including Chloe Dallimore, Rohan Browne, and David Harris.

Singin' In The Rain will open tonight, August 21 in the State Theatre. Currently enjoying a sell out season in London, the Australian production will be directed by Gary Young, choreographed by Kelley Abbey and feature John Foreman as musical director.

The 13th Annual Helpmann Awards were presented tonight live in Sydney at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House and broadcast on Foxtel's Arena. In addition to the star studded list of presenters, the ceremony will include a line-up of incredible performances showcasing Australia's unique and diverse live performance industry. Tim Minchin fresh from his role in Jesus Christ Superstar and his huge success with Matilda on Broadway will be making a very special appearance on the night.
