Bucks County Playhouse has announced that Charles Busch's Tony Nominated play The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, directed by four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines will be the final production of the 2013 Summer season. Performances run from Thursday, August 15th through Sunday, September 1st at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street in New Hope, PA). The cast will be announced shortly.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long previously announced that Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will star in the world premiere of Eisenberg's The Revisionist, directed by Kip Fagan, which begins its limited run tonight, February 6 and opens Thursday, February 21 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The Revisionist is scheduled to run through March 31, 2013.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Barbra Streisand recently revealed that she wants Lady Gaga to star in her upcoming GYPSY film, in which Streisand will play 'Mama Rose.' Now she opened up with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming movie, telling Jon Barret that she's "still working out one rights issue" and that "it should happen, but it just takes forever."

The Acting Company's 40th Anniversary Ruby Ball was held on December 3, 2012 at Capitale, and James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director of the Signature Theatre and the Richard Rodgers Director of Juilliard's Drama Division, accepted the John Houseman Award recognizing his profound commitment to the development of American actors and an audience for the theater. Earl Weiner, Board Chairman of both The Acting Company and the Theater Development Fund (TDF) received the Warburg Humanitarian Award for his outstanding philanthropic endeavor and leadership. As has been long speculated, Barbra Streisand is still hard at work on making another GYPSY film, in which she would play 'Momma Rose,' and according to Time, she has her sites set on Lady Gaga to co-star. Joel Stein writes: 'She told me about her cousin Lowell, I told her what a mullet is, she told me she's thinking of casting Lady Gaga as the lead in her remake of Gypsy, and I told her I was really, really cold.'

The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2012-2013 season to decide the eligibility for the 2013 Tony Awards.
