Beth Henley's THE JACKSONIAN to Play Profiles Theatre This Fall

Profiles Theatre opens its 27th Season with the Midwest premiere of the acclaimed new play The Jacksonian by Beth Henley, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production runs August 21 - October 11, 2015 at Profiles Theatre's The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway.  The press opening is Thursday, August 27 at 8pm.

The Attic Theater Company presents John Patrick Shanley's (pictured, left) the dreamer examines his pillow, directed by Laura Braza. The first official revival of the play since its premiere in 1986, the dreamer examines his pillow will play a strictly-limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Flea Theater (41 White Street, Tribeca) Saturday, July 25th through Saturday, August 15th. The Opening Night is tonight, July 30th at 7 PM.

Hero Theatre to Host Maria Irene Fornes Play Festival

Hero Theatre announced today that the company's 2016/2017 season will commence with Festival Irene: Celebrating the Legacy of Maria Irene Fornes. The festival of plays will be presented as staged readings. It will include some of Fornes' most celebrated works in addition to featuring plays written by some of her students who are amongst some of the most prominent Latina/o writers in America today. Esteemed dramaturg, literary agent and founder of This Distracted Globe Consultancy, Morgan Jenness, will serve as consultant on the project.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts to Welcome Art of Time Ensemble's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 11/21

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2015-16 season with a concert version of The Beatles' iconic album, Sgt.
