Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom, Inc., and Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that principal photography on 'INTERSTELLAR' is officially underway in Alberta, Canada.

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) joins forces with First Voice to present the World Premiere of MU, a magical fable created by National Endowment for the Arts Fellow playwright/artistic director Brenda Wong Aoki, Emmy-winning composer Mark Izu, and Tony-nominated choreographer Kimi Okada, and featuring fantasy costumes by Beaver Bauer. Based on a Japanese legend, MU is a beguiling tale both otherworldly and deeply personal. Three performances take place in Kanbar Hall on Friday Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 pm, with a 2 pm matinee on Sunday, Sept. 29, to be followed by a national tour.

Billy Porter, 2013 Tony Award Winner for Best Actor in a Musical (Kinky Boots) surprised students of Broadway Artists Alliance Summer Intensive Session One with his appearance on July 25th. Porter entertained the students with tales of his experiences. In addition, he participated in a Q&A, answering student's questions and providing advice for young performers. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today additional casting for its upcoming production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet starring Elizabeth Olsen as Juliet. Academy Award winner William Hurt will play the role of Friar Laurence; Emmy Award nominee T.R. Knight has been cast as Mercutio and Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega as the Nurse. CSC also announced that Finn Wittrock, previously announced to co-star as Romeo, has withdrawn from the production due to a film offer. A new Romeo and complete casting will be announced shortly. CSC's Romeo & Juliet, which begins performances Friday, September 27, will be directed by Tea Alagi? (Jackie). The official opening night is Wednesday, October 16. Romeo & Juliet will play a limited engagement through Sunday, November 3. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 5 at 12pm.

Tony Award winner Gabriel Ebert visited students at Broadway Artists Alliance Alumni Session to share his journey from young actor to Tony Award Winner. Earlier this year, Ebert won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Mr. Wormwood in Matilda the Musical. Scroll down for photos from the event!

Should things work out, he would join previously announced Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Bill Irwin, Topher Grace and Mackenzie Foy.

According to The Wrap, John Lithgow has completed the cast of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi thriller INTERSTELLAR. Lithgow joins previously announced stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Mackenzie Foy, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck and Bill Irwin.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mackenzie Foy (Twilight, The Conjuring) is in final talks to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi thriller INTERSTELLAR. Foy will act alongside previously announced stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.

Classic Stage Company has announced that Deb Radloff, who appeared in the company's recent production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors. The recipient was selected by a panel of judges which included Rosemarie Tichler, CSC Artistic Director Brian Kulick and CSC Casting Director James Calleri.

Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) will present an evening of cocktails and a special one-night-only concert starring one of Broadway's living legends, Betty Buckley, on Monday, September 30 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street) to support the Legacy Program in honor of Horton Foote.

SMASH and First Date star Krysta Rodriguez recently joined Broadway Artists Alliance to lead a master class. Rodriguez provided feedback to the students on their audition material and participated in a Q&A. Scroll down for photos!

Classic Stage Company's new production of Bertolt Brecht's THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE, featuring Christopher Lloyd (Azdak), directed by Brian Kulick (who directed Brecht's Galileo last season), and featuring new music by Tony Award-winning singer/songwriter Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), closes today, June 23, after a two-week extension.

The Public Theater's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, the first show of The Public's 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park, opened tonight, June 18, at the Delacorte. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS features Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Hamish Linklater as Dromio and Antipholus respectively and will run through Sunday, June 30.
