On Today, September 24, Brooklyn band Sky-Pony will hit the stage at St. Louis's Murmuration Festival.

Taiwan's Ministry of Cultural, Asian Cultural Council, Jerome Foundation, and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council have all recently awarded grants to NYC choreographer Jessica Chen with regard to the J CHEN PROJECT's 2016-17 season and debut of The Shadow and The Like. Chen, along with an all-Asian choreography team, will preview the work at Dixon Place from September 29th - October 1st. Through confrontational duets, tangled group interactions, and hidden solos, The Shadow and The Like will unearth feelings below the surface of curated online personas, bringing attention to the weight of this generation's quest for digital acceptance. Born from tragedy, redemption and more, J CHEN PROJECT, a NYC-based modern dance company founded in 2008, translates the largest of questions about life via sensual, soulful movement and thought-provoking social engagement.

The Other Mozart (Drama Desk and Off Broadway Alliance award-nominated and New York Innovative Theatre award-winning) returns Off Broadway this season.

Presented in conjunction with the New York premiere of Underground Railroad Game, Ars Nova presents the Off Color Salon Series which features artists, scholars, writers and community leaders in post-show discussions examining race, sexuality and education.

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (Heung-Sik Choe, President and CEO) is delighted to announce two major new appointments to its artistic leadership. Thierry Fischer has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor and Markus Stenz Conductor-in-Residence, with effect from the start of the 2017 season. Both conductors were appointed by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra on the basis of the recommendation of a committee, with its seven members including the Seoul Philharmonic's CEO, musicians from and outside the orchestra, a music critic, a conductor and a music manager.

Life Force Arts, Inc. has announced it will stage WHAT WE'RE UP AGAINST, Theresa Rebeck's ever-timely and relevant comedy / drama which examines the intricacies of wage equality and gender roles in the workplace.  The production will run just as the 2016 Presidential debates and ensuing election are underway. Lorca Peress will direct the production that runs October 21 - October 29 at the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, first floor.

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Rob Urbinati's Mama's Boy, which runs October 18 through November 6 at the New Brunswick theatre. Betsy Aidem (Broadway's All the Way, GSP's God of Carnage) stars as Marguerite Oswald, the headstrong mother of Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Michael Goldsmith (TV's Doctor Who, Gotham).

Broadway In Chicago, Stageworks Media and Troika Entertainment present the National Touring production of CHEERS LIVE ON STAGE. IN A SEA OF FACES: A New Folk Opera by Jahn Sood will be presented at Cloud City, an alternative arts space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 85 N. 1st St, running September 15-22, 2016. The piece is made up of folk songs and movement and is a celebration of oral tradition, family and life near the ocean.
