Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater is pleased to announce the casts of the two Martel Musicals presented during the 2010 season: BONFIRE NIGHT (July 16 - 18) and ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER (July 29 - August 1).

Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave will return to the New York stage this Fall to star opposite one another in the Broadway Premiere of Alfred Uhry‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy. Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy will begin performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), with an official opening on Monday, October 25, 2010.

The New York Times reports today that Brian d'Arcy James and Anika Noni Rose will lead the 'On A Clear Day You Can See Forever' workshop, directed by Michael Mayer, at the Powerhouse Theater as part of this year's New York Stage and Film series at Vassar College.

The award winning stage and film actress Anika Noni Rose, best known as the voice of ‘Princess Tiana' in Disney's The Princess & The Frog and for playing ‘Lorrell Robinson' in Bill Condon's Dreamgirls, presented the grant.

'Time to Give' is an historic collaboration between renowned Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet and the Tony Awards. A live, invitation-only auction (conducted by Christie's Lydia Fenet) of 13 celebrity autographed timepieces was the evening's centerpiece.
