Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) presents the U.S. Premiere of the solo theater work BRODSKY / BARYSHNIKOV, based on poems by the late Nobel laureate Joseph Brodsky, and performed by actor and BAC artistic director Mikhail Baryshnikov. The one-man show was created for Baryshnikov in collaboration with Alvis Hermanis, noted Latvian director of The New Riga Theatre.
Joffrey Ballet Presents WINNING WORKS Program Tonight

CHICAGO – The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago present four World Premieres in the sixth annual “Winning Works” program, the culmination of Joffrey's 2016 Winning Works Choreographic Competition. This year's Competition winners - Jeffrey Cirio, Christian Denice and Mariana Oliveira each choreographed a work, along with a fourth by Joffrey Academy Artistic Director Alexei Kremnev, titled Coco + Igor. All four works are performed by dancers from the Joffrey Studio Company and the Joffrey Academy Trainee Program. The Joffrey Academy of Dance's “Winning Works” program is presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago's Edlis Neeson Theater, 220 E. Chicago Avenue, over three performances only: tonight, March 5, at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 PM.

MorDance, in its mission to create modern, relevant movement that maintains the integrity of classical ballet, returns to New York's newest performing arts center as its resident ballet company this spring with Season IV, From the Center. The first company to perform on the Sheen Center stage in 2014, MorDance returns to its black box theater April 21-24 to present Propinquity and Apart from the Peripheral, two world premieres and The Shape of Voice, a continuation of a work commissioned by the Columbia Ballet Collaborative in November, 2015.

The program includes eight works never before seen at the Center, four Southern California premieres and new productions of Ailey classics.
