Two new plays by local playwright TJ Edwards will premiere at the Gallery Players of Brooklyn starting June 13th and running until June 23rd as part of their 16th Annual Black Box New Play Festival. Mr. Edwards has won two Helen Hayes awards for Outstanding New Play, and his plays have been performed in New York, Los Angeles and London-as well as cities throughout the U.S.

From November 13 to 28, The Eleventh Hour Theatre Company will perform a new translation of Aeschylus' 'Agamemnon' by Eleventh Hour artistic director Alexander Harrington, directed by Harrington and featuring original music by Michael Sirotta. Greek tragedy combined song, speech, and chant. Scholars are able to hypothesize how a section of a play was performed (sung, spoken, or chanted) based on the poetic meter the playwright used for that section.
